“Blanketing the tongue…” – The Tasting Panel

Oh man! We still don't have a scratch and sip feature in this AI-centric, digital era, but man... if you could, you'd GO BANANAS over this one. 76% OFF with 96 points to back it up! ...whaaaat?

We know. You’re welcome. Just another day at Wine Spies HQ.

If you have not experienced this brand yet, please do your future self a favor. There's no better example than THIS.

Heir Apparent is the flagship spinoff from Operative favorite Grand Napa Vineyards. They’ve been making some killer wines from their outpost in Rutherford, sourcing fruit from some of the very best vineyard sites in Oakville, Rutherford, and St. Helena. The exact vineyards for this wine aren’t disclosed, but we know it comes 100% from Rutherford. When your neighbors include the likes of Inglenook, Staglin, or Harlan, you can imagine the quality is way, WAY up there.

You definitely don’t have to imagine anything when you taste it. The only thing you need to do is make sure you have enough to prevent the inevitable regret of not having bought more. Happens all the time.

All the qualities of a great Napa Cab shine bright, plain and simple. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with all the nuance and elegance of Bordeaux - big, silky, structured, and supremely affordable (at least with our massive discount!!).

While Rutherford is known for its “dust” and brute strength, this is an example of what the AVA can do in the right hands. This walks the tight rope between bold expression and lean elegance.

It has all the intensity of a tuk-tuk ride through Bangkok in rush hour, along with the frou-frou of the Champs-Élysées, with none of the danger of crushing your bones or your wallets.

Enjoy lavish blackberry and plum, cedar, and spice, with some pencil shavings and raw leather, all join forces with expensive oak and superfine tannins. You’ll feel like a king when you drink this, without any worry of a violent uprising coming for your head.

This was $165. Today it’s yours for 76% off - via Wine Spies alone.

Make your move...

96 Points – The Tasting Panel “The wine beckons with soulful dark chocolate, blueberry and plum with a layer of freshly grated nutmeg. Aged for 22 months in 60% New French Oak barrels, it has an intoxicating aroma that could only be described as lush. Blanketing the tongue with sumptuous tannins, it is teeming with juicy overripe raspberry, tobacco leaf, and piquant herbs.”
