We got a GOOD ONE for you.
Try finding a better deal. We dare you. This is one of the best we’ve seen in a while. Think Napa Valley. No wait. A single vineyard library release from St. Helena, to be specific. A Reserve, nonetheless.
With $200 OFF the release price?!?! With 95/94 points??
Seiler Estate is a rare gem in the world of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Still family owned and operated, small batch and highly sought after.
Proprietor, Lewis David Seiler bought a small vineyard on Glass Mountain in St. Helena surrounded by neighbors Amulet Estate, Merus, Failla, and Hundred Acre, supplying some of Napa’s best with fruit while continuing to focus on his art career. A very successful art career, mind you. As a sculptor, photographer, and environmental benefactor, his work has been highlighted at the Museum of Modern Art, Tiffany, Cartier, and the Vorpal Gallery.
Moving into the medium of wine, he works with 4th Generation Napa winemaker and Denis Malbec protégé Mario Sculatti, of ROAM and Kanamota (a few loyal Ops will remember that one) fame, to craft well-balanced and richly textured wines. Making wine is a continuation of his artistic flair, and the proof is in the bottle. Oh, and pampering these grapes is no ordinary viticulturalist; Francisco Alfaro has an illustrious past growing grapes that supplied the likes of Harlan Estate, Araujo, Ovid, Arrow & Branch, and Drinkward Peschon.
Concentrated and luxurious, this wine has it all. Deep, dark, juicy red and black fruit surround beautiful fresh oak, applewood smoke, and leather. This is the real deal and will only gain elegance as it ages. Lay this baby down for a decade easily and watch the evolution of this masterpiece!
We don’t see 80% off happen very often. Even “on sale” direct from the winery, the next best price you’ll find is $175. This is the best of both worlds, damn good wine with an epic deal.
With only around 15 barrels bottled each vintage, we only got so much, so do not let this pass you by.
95 Points – International Wine Report “The 2019 Seiler Estate Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon unveils an inviting and complex bouquet of ripe blackberries and black currants, underscored by an array of intriguing spices and herbal nuances. On the palate, this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and powerful, with a well-structured frame, supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and a velvety texture. The rich fruit flavors are complemented by a harmonious blend of dark chocolate, herbs and spices, adding further complexity. The finish is long and persistent, echoing notes of dark fruits and spices with a touch of cedar and graphite all lingering on this exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon.”
94 Points – Jeb Dunnuck “Coming from a single vineyard on Glass Mountain and made entirely from Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve shows a darker, iron-tinged style with aromas of blackcurrant, graphite, spicy oak, and loamy earth. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a polished, elegant mouthfeel, silky tannins, and outstanding length. It leans more on complexity and finesse than overt power and is a beautifully balanced 2019 that's drinking well today. It should cruise in cold cellars over the coming 15 years. Drink 2025-2040.”
